What the triage collects
The free triage at /triage runs entirely in your browser. Your answers, the matched playbook, the regulator hand-off list, and any summary you generate stay on your device. We do not log triage state to a server. If you use the "Email to my CAO" button, your local email client opens a pre-filled draft — we never see the contents.
What this site collects
- Analytics: we use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics to count pageviews and triage completions in aggregate. No IP addresses are stored beyond request processing. No third-party advertising trackers.
- Email: if you contact us at municipal@, incident@, security@, or associations@hackfirstaid.com, we receive your message and store it in our help inbox for as long as needed to respond and to maintain customer records.
- Newsletter (when launched): if you subscribe to The Municipal Brief, we store your email address and use it only to send the brief and the occasional municipal update. You can unsubscribe from any email.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising cookies. A small first-party cookie may be used to remember your dark/light theme preference if that feature is enabled. Analytics is cookieless.
Third parties
Our calendar booking, email forwarding, and analytics services act as data processors on our behalf. We choose providers with strong privacy postures and contractual data processing terms. None resell your data.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold on you, ask us to delete it, or correct it, by emailing privacy@hackfirstaid.com. Canadian, US, UK, and EU residents have additional rights under PIPEDA, US state privacy laws, UK GDPR, and EU GDPR respectively. We honour those rights regardless of which framework formally applies.
Children
This site is intended for municipal staff and elected officials. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We will update the date at the top of this page when the policy changes. Material changes are summarized at the top for one quarter.
